Suzanne Somers Diet
Somersizing is the name given to a diet written by celebrity Suzanne Somers. There is nothing particularly different or original in this diet - but it has gained popularity - as do many things with a celebrity name attached.
Suzanne Somers Diet Plan
This diet is a food-combining plan that (like most healthier diets) eliminates refined foods (such as white flour and sugar). The food combining means only eating certain food groups together:
- Carbohydrates must be eaten with vegetables (and no fat).
- Proteins must be eaten with vegetables and fats (but no carbs).
- Fruit should be eaten alone and on an empty stomach.
There appears to be no scientific evidence for the food combining techniques. The diet plan is basically a low calorie diet based on healthier foods. There is nothing magic about the food-combining principle. Most people would lose weight, but may find the lower calories difficult to sustain - not to mention making the right food combinations at every meal .
